

Seán Ardagh is married to Máire, they have three grown up children Rory, Charlie and Catherine.
Seán was elected to Dublin County Council in 1985 and succeeded in his first attempt to be elected to the Dail in 1997. Seán was re-elected and topped the poll in 2002 in Dublin South Central. Seán Ardagh is a member of the Dail Public Accounts Committee and Chairman of the Dail committee for Justice, Equality, Defence and Women’s Rights.
Seán Ardagh was born and reared in Dublin City. Seán lived in Dublin until he finished in UCD where he was awarded a BSc. Seán then worked in the area of geophysics for a while before he moved to Toronto, Canada where he was a teacher in an inner city school. Seán studied to become a chartered accountant in Toronto, before moving to Bermuda to work for a large international accountancy firm. Seán then moved his young family back to Ireland where he set up his own chartered accountancy practise in Walkinstown, Dublin 12, which continues to work with hundreds of business people from across the city.
